DORCAS ACHIENG' OLUM

Dorcas is the Head of Human Resources at Olum Advocates. She brings more than 5 years of industry experience in the field. Dorcas began her legal career journey at Archer & Wilcock Advocates, Nairobi as a Paralegal, thereafter moving on to Ogejo, Omboto & Kijala Advocates, Kisumu in the same capacity. Subsequent to that, she moved to Starkey Hearing Technologies Limited, Nairobi as the Chief Logistics Officer – Africa, until her move to Olum Advocates. She has been responsible for setting up the Human Resources function and all related policies and practices at Olum Advocates since its inception. Dorcas is currently anchoring various initiatives to support the development of strategic Human Resources practices. Her focus is to align the Human Resources function to dovetail with business plans. Her passion lies in setting up and establishing the Human Resources function in new companies, in the formulation of key Human Resources policies, team building and engagement. She is responsible for the Corporate Social Responsibility, Administration & Infrastructure and the Safety functions. Dorcas has an LLB Degree from the University of Leeds, England.
