Gilbert Alfred Olum

Gilbert is a result-driven corporate attorney oriented towards managing companies’ legal affairs and requirements. He brings ten (10) years of experience in a wide range of legal practices. He is capable of designing and meeting strategies from a commercial perspective with ease and is aware of the duty of implementing institutional policies. Gilbert has the unique ability to make crucial decisions (commercially beneficial to his clients) both independently and in a quick & timely manner. He has worked as a general counsel in various multinationals and government projects in respect of commercial transactions across a broad range of sectors including capital markets, manufacturing, infrastructure, real estate, advertising and construction. He regularly conducts legal audits and his core competencies include creativity and innovation in legal solutions, risk analysis and aligning the same to the core organizational mission. Gilbert holds an LLB and LLM (International Business Law) from the University of Huddersfield and University of Leeds respectively in England. He was admitted as a solicitor (Solicitors Regulation Authority) in the United Kingdom and is a member of the Law Society of England and Wales, after which he was later admitted to the Roll of Advocates in Kenya in 2012 and a member of the Law Society of Kenya.
